What to check before sharing

  • A JPG is usually larger than the source HEIC: HEIC compresses more efficiently.
  • For a Live Photo, the key frame is kept; the video part is not converted.
  • EXIF data (capture date, location) is not copied to the JPG, so keep the originals if you need the metadata.
  • If the image has transparency, pick the background fill: white or black.
