Frequently asked questions
What is HEIC and why does my iPhone use it?
HEIC (HEIF) is Apple's image format: files take roughly half the space of JPG at the same quality. iPhones shoot in HEIC by default since iOS 11.
Why does HEIC not open on other devices?
Windows and Android support HEIC only in some versions, and many websites and forms reject it entirely. JPG opens practically everywhere.
Will the photo quality be kept?
The default JPEG quality is 90 out of 100, so the difference from the original is not visible. You can change the quality level in the tool options.
Can I convert several photos at once?
Yes. Upload multiple HEIC files: each one is converted to a separate JPG and the result is delivered as a single ZIP with the original names.
What happens to Live Photos?
The JPG keeps the key frame of the shot. The video part of a Live Photo is not included in the HEIC file and is not converted.
Is metadata like location carried over?
No. EXIF metadata, including the geotag and capture date, is not copied to the JPG, which is a privacy plus when you share photos online.
Do I need an account?
No. The basic workflow is available without creating an account.
How long are files stored?
Files are used only for the selected operation and are automatically deleted 120 minutes after processing is finished. We do not use uploaded documents to train AI models.
