Split PDF online

Split a PDF into individual pages or extract specific page ranges, for example pages 3 through 7, right in the browser.

Everything runs in the browser, no software to install. Files are removed from the server after processing, along with the original.

Files are used only for the selected operation and are automatically deleted after processing is finished. We do not use uploaded documents to train AI models.

Why it is useful

  • Extract a page range, such as pages 12-18 of a 200-page report, without touching the rest of the document.
  • Turn every page into its own file in one pass, useful when a scanner saved a stack of ten receipts as a single PDF.
  • Preview the page thumbnails before you commit to a split, so you can check the range against the actual content rather than the printed page numbers.
  • Works on a document with a hundred-plus pages about as quickly as on a five-page one.
  • Pick the pages and confirm the split without installing anything or creating an account.
  • When a split produces more than one file, all the pieces come back together in a single zip, so there is only one download to keep track of.

How to use it

  1. Upload the PDF you want to split.

  2. Choose a mode: split into individual pages or set a range to extract.

  3. Set the split points, for example after page 5 or the range 10-20.

  4. Click Split and download the resulting files one by one or as an archive.

When to use it

Cut a contract out of a PDF without its attachments to send just that part to a colleague

Break a long report into chapters, each in its own file

Pull a single ID or certificate out of a stack of scanned documents

Split a multi-page invoice by client

What to check before sharing

  • Ranges count actual page position in the file, not any page numbers printed on the pages themselves, so check the thumbnails if the document has its own numbering.
  • Splitting only separates pages; it does not shrink the file size, so a heavy PDF stays just as heavy split into pieces.
  • A password-protected PDF needs the password removed first, since the split cannot read pages it cannot open.
  • The result stays available only for a short window after processing, so download it before switching tabs.
  • For pulling a single page out of a stack, like one ID out of ten scans, a range is faster to set up than splitting the whole file into single pages.
